Today Richard was our Tour Guides. He drives the tour for up 2 hours around all York. He was deeply knowledgeable on the history of York during the centuries and make a great experience for all of us, explain every single corner of the city. I really enjoy all the walk tour with him. It is a very historical tour very different from some others tours in other Uk cities.rnRomans, Scandinavian, Edwardians era, English civil war are part of this tour. I truly recommend this tour on your first day of your travel to York, to make easy to understand the town and it’s history.rn

We took the tour of York onTuesday 10/10/2023 at 10.30 am with tour guide Alan Whitehead.This tour was very informative and Alans knowledge when showing us parts of York that we had not seen before was much appreciated.A very enjoyable two hours which we would thoroughly recommend to anyone seeking to enhance their understanding of this great historical city.

We had a great tour with Alan, I really enjoyed it. We saw so much in the space of two and a bit hours ranging across over 1000 years of history. Alan has a relaxed and friendly style, and makes times for questions plus a few jokey observations! I would recommend an AVG tour to anyone, it was excellent.

We both really enjoyed the walking tour of York today. Our guide Pauline was very approachable and informative. We went to places we wouldn’t have visited on our own. It was a very enjoyable couple of hours learning some of the history of York.

We had Richard give us a tour on Saturday 27th Jan and it was great!! Always think the walking tours are a brilliant way to explore and get to know the city. Richard was full of history and very friendly.

We had a great time, our guide Richard was very knowledgeable and took us on a tour through the city centre and the ages, nearly two thousand years of history was covered and we were treated to insights far beyond what we could have found without this brilliant activity, our entire trip was improved by the two hours spent learning about this wonderful city.

Keith was our guide. An architect with an intense interest in history and a quirky sense of humour. Very informative and interesting, without being boring. Unlike many commercial tours thankfully it was absent the rubbish stories. A really worthwhile tour. rn
