We went on the tour with Kevin this morning, he gave us a real insight into history, battles and York itself. We also learnt an alternative true meaning to ‘eavesdropping’ due to taxation on ground floor areas and ‘gone to the wall’ at Holy Trinity Church. Thank you Kevin for a very interesting history lesson whilst walking and continuing on for us despite a downpour. rn

Wendy was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. She coped very well with my 7 and 9 year old as well as engaging my 11 and 13 year olds. We really enjoyed the tour and saw parts of York we didn’t know existed.

Our tour guide, Nick, was full of knowledge and passionate about the city of York, he told many great stories of local history right through the ages. I would highly recommend the tour and hope you meet Nick, although I’m sure other guides are just as great.

Fraser was absolutely the best guide. From the start, he was funny, knowledgeable and energetic. His enthusiasm for York is clear, He made a point of describing each place we walked, with historical tidbits to get us thinking. rnThe city itself is amazing and he brought it to life for us.He’s personable, charming, witty, and his knowledge and love of his subject shines through. The two + hours passed much too quickly; we would have walked around with Fraser all day.

Mike was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his tour. Especially because it was in a chronological format which made it very comprehensible. He went out of his way at the end to show us where the merchants adventurer’s hall was. Much appreciated.

Pauline was our guide today. She was amazing. I loved the way she guided us through the city, showing us the higlights with a valuable mix of historic and curious facts. I strongly recommend it if you want to travel back in time and get to know york.

John took us on a two hour tour through York’s history highlights. We had a wonderful time. Learning about the romans, Vikings, medieval and modern times was great with such great vivid explanations and inside stories. John tells so much, and could have gone on all day we bet!! It was a very fulfilling tour today with Judy who is one of a kind. A lot of interesting information about the city and you can feel her love for York. The tour was captivating and engaging, a lot of questions asked and answered. Every tourist was paid attention to. It was a real joy to spend those 2 hours with Judy! Really enjoyed our tour with Richard – he was really knowledgeable, threw in a couple of ghost stories and recommended a coffee shop for afterwards. A great couple of hours spent.

Our guide Jim was humorous and seemed to love what he does. One thing that could be improved was that it was very hard to hear him, both because he turned his head side to side (I think in order to look at the group) and when his head was turned away, we could not hear; and also he spoke too quickly for these non-Scottish ears to understand! Still, we learned a lot and enjoyed it. Thanks.

I joined this mornings 10.30 2 hour city tour with our guide Wendy . Despite some inclement weather at times the tour was excellent and wow Wendy was a fund of knowledge on all things York .. a city she clearly loves . The tour is easy on the feet with plenty of scenic stops to take pics. I can heartily recommend this tour ,and many thanks to the knowledgeable and personable Wendy

Great tour of York by Richard this afternoon 20/04/24. Very pleasant and knowledgable on York and its history, showed us some great sights and added some light humour throughout the tour. Many different nationalities on the tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend.

Took the fantastic tour yesterday around the City with Richard as our guide. Richard was very engaging and knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours, getting to see parts of the City that we wouldn’t have found ourselves. Would thoroughly recommend!
