Frustrating start to tour this morning. The gate to the back of the art gallery was open at 10.15. I gave an introductory talk at the back of the gallery and then lef the group through the edible garden. Frustratingly, the gate at the end of the garden leading to the Abbey grounds was closed. No option but to go back round via the front of the gallery and the road in order to get to the abbey grounds/Museum Gatdens. And no way of checking it out in advance on a 10.15 tour. Would welcome feedback from others to know if this a one off.
