      Dear Colleagues,
At the AGM on 4th March 2020 the following Policy with regards to the current Coronavirus situation was adopted.

‘Keep calm and carry on’. The AVG will follow Public Health England and Government advice during this current period. If any Guide feels uncomfortable with this and at all vulnerable then please feel free stand down but give plenty of Notice.
When/if the situation markedly changes then a wholesale review will be necessary in the light of further National Guidelines. Your Committee will meet early next week consider further our options.
Regarding the first point it was felt keeping out of Holy Trinity Church and the Undercroft of St’ Leonard’s Hospital as 2 enclosed spaces would be a wise precaution. If monies are pressed upon you at the ned of the Tour then find somewhere to wash your hands asap.

      Kind Regards,
      Barrie Ferguson, chairman

      Hi,
I hope this finds you well.

The Government is now (12th June 2020)gradually easing the “Lockdown” and has announced that non-essential shops will be permitted to commence trading from Monday 15th June.

Is it possible to share the current thoughts and plans of the committee with a view t the resumption of the guided tours?

      Thank you.
      Mick
